WHY ITUNES AND GOOGLE PLAY MOVIES NEED TO GO DRM-FREE

If you've ever bought a movie off the internet with services such as iTunes or Google play the one big draw back is you can only play it on certain devices and at $15-20 for a HD movie thats really steep versus buying a dvd or blu-ray and ripping them.
Now the reason they have DRM is so they can stop piracy but heres the issue, why should the pirates get better quality than people who actually put money into the movie and i think what needs to happen is that the movie studios need to stop worrying about whether it will get pirated"because it will"be make buying the movies worth it. Like giving it to people drm-free so they can burn it on a dvd or blu ray if they want too or put it on their computer and or cross platform device i think it will greatly curve piracy if you make it better for the consumer especially with cloud storage for the movies so they can re download if needed.  let me know what you guys think of the blog Thanks for reading :D and sharing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpChtgNXOPw&list=UU1bbyGPzxr2ynqon2Xtnm8w

  1. digital rights management
  2. Media companies use digital rights management (DRM) to curtail piracy and protect revenues, but it may infringe on your rights in the process.
